My messages and imessages are saying 'sending' on my phone and are never saying sent and going back to normal, yes the messages are still sending so they have sent to the other person but still say sending? Its been like this for about 24 hours now i'm not sure what to do.

I have just checked on the Apple forum and this seems quite common. They suggest resetting your network settings..

Common imessage problem. tbh it's always glitching.
Reset your network as advised above or turn off imessage and reboot phone.
