I have been called by Jason at MandJ Acquisitions who says they are an official partner of O2 offering me a free boostbox and a reduction in my monthly payment if I stay with O2 for 24months. Is this a scam or not??

you will definitely end up with a business account as that is the only way to get a boost box. Also no 14 day change of mind policy. Stay well away.

@tnmilton https://www.o2.co.uk/business/contact-us/partners lists o2 partners if concerned always ring o2 directly http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

M&J Acquisitions appear not to be listed separately as a trusted partner so are probably a subsidery of Airtime Solutions/Aerial or some other but their profile seems to be lacking much (in my humble opinion)

ABSOLUTE SCAM - STAY AWAY
They are NOT part of o2 the are a third party that ropes you in!! They conned me on a business contract. (i am not a business)
Also said it was 18month deal actually 3 years!!
apparatenty you have a personal account manager whom you hear nothing from!!
if they offer you another phone free of course - they then tie you in for another 3 years!!
Your deal is actually NOT with them mine particulary is with PLAN.COM (who are associsated loosley with 02)
STAY AWAY

Good advice @youngone
Add that to the fact that no-one should ever take out a phone contract from a cold caller. They are pretty much all the same. Tie you into a business contract when you should be on a personal contract and once they have your money, give you little or no support.
We have so many complaints about third party sellers on here and O2 should be ashamed to be linked with them!
