Is It Possible ...

Anonymous

... someone could 'bullit point' for me as to how to get O2 community pm's / notifications referred to my phone Xperia L1 ... this used to happen until recently 😞

I believe there is a thread about this ... however I can't seem to find it

If some member could point me in the right direction I would be grateful smiling

@Anonymous

Not sure of your email address, mine is Gmail for this forum and many of us had issues last week. Also someone with a hotmail address had the same problem.

The thread is here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Android/Gmail-issue/m-p/1271603/highlight/true#M73395

All our emails were going into the spam folder on our PC's and phones. You need to check that on your phone and mark them as not spam.

If you read the thread you will see @gmarkj found a way of stopping this happening.

Hello @gmarkj

Sorry to bother you, but if if it doesn't inconvenience you, simpler step by step instructions would be very useful

Thank you for offering more help

Here you go @Anonymous

Log into your gmail on a computer (or website on phone)
Click the gear/cog symbol (top right of screen)
Choose settings
Look for filters and blocked addresses
Click Create a New Filter
Where it says from, put the forum email (forum "at" o2 "dot" com)
Click create filter
Tick the box next to Never send it to spam
If you like click the option next to Also apply to XX other conversations (will move any already in Spam)
Click Create Filter

That should move any already in Spam and stop new ones going in.
You will see a warning when you open the emails now about being careful and the message not going into spam because of the filter, but that means it is working.

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Sorry to hear it's still going on for you @gmarkj  (as you came up with the workaround).

As you know, on my PC the gmails come in through Outlook and they are fine. So I checked my account via Chrome to see what Gmail was doing there. All fine. Nothing going into spam or junk.

Funnily enough, (my bill which HAD gone into spam via Outlook) was in my  gmail inbox via Chrome!!
