Help with Roaming Sim Card

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello,

I just borrowed a friend's O2 phone for my upcoming Europe trip. She bought her phone in Ireland with an Irish Sim card. I am travelling to Switzerland, Madrid, Italy and Greece and I want access in all places. Can I do that with only one
Sim card. Is it best to buy from O2? I see some other providers with roaming Sim cards?

I mainly need for my wife to be able to reach me. She's pregnant and we want to keep close contact.

Thanks all

It depends if the phone is unlocked to use any SIM card. Put one in from another operator, if it works you are OK

I have an United Mobile SIM which allows free incoming calls in all the countries you have mentioned. I also keep it in an old mobile of mine in the UK and use it when Rambling as an emergency phone as it will work here on 4 networks.

Thanks DaveC,

How much did you pay for your sim card? Can I purchase it outside the UK?

Thanks

Yes, you can purchase via the Web to anywhere. https://www.united-mobile.com/

As I said, great if most of your calls are incoming.
The number is based on Jersey Telecom - some operators in the UK see it as a foreign mobile some don't.
