Hi All,

Unusual for me, however today I am going to have a rant! I get so angry at some posters on this forum who seem to have lost the art of 'good manners'. In my opinion, the O2 forum is the best thing since sliced bread. People give hours of time and expertise, offering free advice and support to folk like me and are rarely rewarded with a simple thank you! My pet hates are a) people who post, then never bother returning to see what expert advice they have been given, b) Posters who never give kudos when their issue is resolved and c) folk who never say thank you.

I have never made any secret of the fact I am an 'elderly' technophobe, but the advice and support I have received on here is second to none. I have never been patronised or made to feel stupid which is why I keep coming back time and time again. if it wasnt for the experts on this forum, I would have binned my S3 and gone back to my old phone. I always remember someone on here saying to me 'There is no such thing as a stupid question'. I kept that in mind and continued ask things that the experts may have really thought 'DUH', but answered with patience making things simple. So just remember this guys 'You get out of life exactly what you put in' If someone helps you on here a simple thanks (and a few kudo's) makes all the difference. O2 may get some things wrong...this forum isnt one of them! Thanks again and... PHEW...Rant over!!Smiley LOL

Agreed, you are putting into words what most of us feel, it doesn't hurt to treat people with a little respect, especially when they go out of their way to find solutions and a great deal of help.

Some do seem to think they have a right to demand answers and can be quite rude when it doesn't suit them.

A simple thank you really goes a long way.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

You are a perfect example of what this forum is about and it's a shame more customers aren't using it for it's full potential.

I enjoy it here far more than being on the phones as, although the level of appreciation is consistent, our discussions really do go a long way to help people out!

Our contributions may get ignored by the thread posters but this forum generates a lot of 'view only' traffic from people searching for help and when you look around the call centre you'd be surprised how many staff have googled questions and ended up here wink

Agree wholeheartedly! There's no need for rudeness when people don't agree or see your viewpoint. Respect, manners and etiquette was how I was 'brung up'!!
