So I’ve just read that the EU has agreed a package to reform international calling from EU member states.

Now before any one starts to mention Brexit, no one knows at all what is going to happen, So this could be imposed, it may not. We just don’t know.

But it does make interesting reading.

But it like I’ve always said, what you give with one hand you take with the other.  Networks will find away to claw back monies. It will be dearer to call a person in the U.K on a U.K. number  than calling a French mobile from the U.K. soon.

oh what fun lol

Communication costs falling, travel times falling (but costs rising!) - the world is shrinking? Interesting to watch.

I think you'd be pretty safe in thinking that whichever way you cut it, UK consumers are going to get the short end of the stick.

And we will remain in a state of limbo @Cleoriff until a Brexit deal is agreed and signed. Because even if the EU impose cheaper international calling charges, there is nothing to say the UK networks will honour it once we leave the EU. Unless, of course, it is written into any deal signed.

Even then who's to say networks won't find some way around it after we're out. Or just make UK to UK calls dearer. Either way we're bound to be on the losing end.

Needs doing to make it fair. Just a shame that we may not benefit from it.
