I have been getting text notifications from a company called Digital Virgo. I then logged onto my O2 account to find that they have been charging me £4.50 a week for a long time.

I know there have been posts on here previously BUT I wanted to give some tips on how to get this resolved and refunded quickly.

I found an email address for them -

communication@digitalvirgo.com

I emailed them saying that I was very unhappy as they were billing me for a service I had not subscribed to  and stated that they have 7 days to respond before I considered Legal action.

I got a response in 72 hrs, confirmed my mobile number and then have just sent me a refund code to pick up from the post office for £211.00!

That’s the best way to deal with them. Ask customer service to put a premium rate bar on your acctnow to prevent any further occurrences.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@Trouble_gb Should you not get your refund, or even if you do, you can report the company here: https://psauthority.org.uk/

Well done! A robust response to these scams usually results in a rapid refund. They'll keep your money if you show any sign of weakness! This isn't one of the regular 'payforit' scam subscriptions, but if you know you never consented to the charges, you should report the company to the regulator. Details in the 'Payforit' faq linked in my signature below.
