Hi, I just got my mobile phone bill and noticed it was higher than usual, so I checked it online to find a charge for a 29 second call to an unknown number (07011772232). I looked up the number online and found it to be a scam number. Acording to an online forum, the caller usualy either sits in silence till you hang up or tries to sell you some kind of solar panel warranty.

Best advice is to block the number. Its definitely a scam

You can’t be charged for an incoming call so I guess you had a missed call and called it back?

And don’t call back any numbers that you don’t recognise unless you are expecting a call.

Indeed, but you can't be charged unless you call them, so the lesson here is not to call any missed call numbers that you don't know.
If it's important, they will call back.
