Been waiting a week for number switch. Totally useless customer service

I have been waiting a week and have contacted O2 five times to have my PAYG number transferred to new monthly contract SIM. Every time "it's going to happen" "I can see it in the system" yet I wake up this morning and its still not happened. One person said leave old sim in. Another says put new one in. Useless! I am now having to use new sim with a number none of my friends have because i keep being told my old number will kick in. Then it doesnt. I had years of happy motoring on my PAYG, was convinced to change to save money and this is what happens. Useless customer service. One more day and then i will cancel my whole contract. Anyone else had the same problem?

It does happen but is quite rare.
Sometimes they take a bit longer than normal but it will transfer eventually.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

You have 14 days to cancel your new contract, so keep that in mind.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
