Has anyone else recently been billed for £78.00 circumstances may vary, charges and no regard for my stolen phone circumstances. It would be interesting to see if you are currently in the same position.

If it's for premium rate messages, see help here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Have-you-fallen-for-or-been-conned-into-a-premi...
If due to charges because your phone was stolen, there is help here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Lost-or-Stolen-O2-Device-How-to-Report-it/...
You will notice that it states that you must report the loss within 24 hours to limit your liability to £100 but you are still liable for any charges made up to the point that you reported the loss.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:

That's why it's vitally important you report the loss as soon as possible and everyone should have a phone lock AND a sim lock on the phone to stop any possible charges in the event of the phone being lost. There is no question of you having been scammed by O2, only by the thief or whoever found the phone.
