I currrently use a Pay as you Go and see that its costing me 14 pence to send a Text message.  Can anyone advise me if there is a more cost effective tarrif.

As I am very hard of hearing I try not to use voice preffering to use text.

@Anonymous http://www.tescomobile.com/help-and-support/1082-pay-as-you-go/1091-tariffs/pay-as-you-go-triple-credit

With our Triple Credit tariff you get free credit when you top-up – you can use it on UK calls, texts and data.

When you top-up £10, £15 or £20, we triple that top-up:

@Anonymous  What can I use my free credit on?

  • UK calls to standard UK landline and mobile numbers starting 01, 02 and 03
  • UK to UK video calls
  • Calls to our Customer Care team in the UK
  • Calls to voicemail from the UK
  • Text messages and MMS to UK mobiles
  • UK mobile internet browsing
Also, any available free credit you have will always be used before any paid top-up

 .... @MI5 dont report me for SPAM with link to tesco website

They are thinking about economy such as unlimited texts not topping up to get free credit then use it all up, if you have a smartphone you could try using whatsapp or FB Messenger too, the messages would be free using those services
