is there some loophole in the law that means o2 does not have to provide vo lte and wifi calling when you have a o2 classic pay as you go sim card ?
in my Gigaset GS5 LITE, both sim 1 and 2 have vo lte and wifi calling, i have tried my sky mobile sim in both sim 1 and 2, and in both vo lte and wifi calling work
with the o2 classic pay as you go sim card, my Gigaset GS5 LITE gives me the option to turn on vo lte and wifi calling, but because of a loophole in the law, it means o2 doesn't have to provide vo lte and wifi calling when you have a o2 classic pay as you go sim card
from January 2025, 3g will start to be turned off, this means for calls, it will go down to 2g, that's worse call quality

You do realise that masts take time to fix and arent done instantaneously, due to a number of reasons..
Trust me o2 fix masts as quickly as they can, same as BT who took 6months to fix a mast in a high traffic tourist area...
You know what to do, go an join another network such as Lyca or Lebara, and see how long they take to fix issues.
You dont know how big business works and how M&A works but debt is good , and I aint going to explain it here, google is your friend...

i have 3 sim cards, Lebara, sky mobile and o2 classic pay as you go sim card
for Lebara, i use there welcome offers, current offers will end august 5, got a new Lebara sim that i will activate on august 6 that is £1 per month for 7 months on a 30 day rolling contract
only problem i have had with Lebara is in may, in 1 area of Leicester city centre, had data problems for 2 weeks but still could make phone calls
go an join another network
only reason i didn't leave o2 was free greggs food on o2 priority app

and that's exactly why PAYG isn't profitable and gets zero investment anymore.
I'm sure tenner every 6 months really helps.

not topped up since 2018
o2 gave me free £30 credit because how bad the network was in 2023 in my area

Not sure why you expect any sympathy to be honest.

I suspect O2 PAYG will come to an end in favour of giffgaff which now has 5G and is rolling out VoLTE and WiFi Calling.
No movement on that front from O2

i did enjoy the 3 years of free greggs vegan sausage rolls and free greggs pizza when they did that
also did enjoy the free caffe nero drinks before they removed it in 2022

i don't want sympathy
best thing i can now do is try get the government that just got in to try change the law to make it more fair
