My new phone was pre-ordered and included a free accessory pack, which included a charging plate worth £25. When I got home and opened the box, which correctly said that it was a BLACK accesory pack, I discovered I had a bright yellow charging cover. The shop told me to contact O2 customer services, who basically told me that as it was a free gift, I wasn't entitled to have it replaced with the correct cover.
Had I known that the "free" accessory pack was effectively worthless, I wouldn't have pre-ordered - I'd have waited for some of the deals which will inevitably come along, and for the phone price to reduce, as it no doubt will.
The moral of the story - if you're getting a free anything with a phone from O2, take it out of the box and check it before leaving the store - if it's wrong, you have no mission of getting O2 to fix the problem afterwards.

Hi and Welcome to the forum,
I'm just sorry its in these circumstances.
Was their any description of the free accessory and its colour confirming it was black.
Look at the fine print or leave a link here and we can take a look.
If the colour supplied is not the right one under this small print then ring the back and state so.
If needed complete the online complaint form to escalate the issue if required.

No - there was nothing in the small print to say that the accessories would "colour match" the phone - but you wouldn't expect that would you? It comes under the category of "reasonable assumption" - if you buy a red car, would you expect the colour coded wingmirrors to be yellow? Of course not! - but it doesn't say in the contract what colour the wingmirrors will be. Nokia makes colour coded accessories to match their phones - when you've been told that the accesories will be supplied, it's quite natural and reasonable to assume that they will be the same colour as the phone. The box for the accessories says specifically "Accesory Bundle Black" - isn't it reasonable to assume that the contents of the box will be black rather than yellow! O2 should not be trying to weazle out of their responsibility to fix their mistake by relying on "the small print!"

In that case fill out the complaint form from the link i supplied and wait to see what reply you receive.
