o2 - when will you LISTEN to your customers

Thought I would open up a debate on here. Not a mud slinging exercise against o2. Just a debate.
@Toby @Anonymous

Repeated questions occur on here:
When is 4g coming?
Why don't o2 publish 4g plan?
Why isn't the website stock correctly managed?
Are o2 planning to stock particular devices?

My question for debate is this:

Should o2 embrace the concept of a small customer panel who could work alongside o2 perhaps inbetween Community and O2 to understand customer concerns, what makes us unhappy and why, what can be done to improve things?

Companies that don't listen quickly fade into oblivion and o2, for all its size and might, risks that fate from a variety of sources which all come back to the same thing. ....

WHEN WILL O2 START TO LISTEN (AND FEEDBACK)???

Argh @Anonymous love it. I was thinking of the Customer Panel being listened to but prefer your thoughts.

If this idea wants to become reality it needs legs. And the only way it will get legs is for people to support the idea.

Could you imagine a Customer Panel with the likes of MI5, Bambino, Jonsie, Cleoriff, yourself, myself to name but a few. With a wide range of diverse views but all with one common objective, to keep o2 improve? (Please don't be offended if your names weren't mentioned, I just selected a random few of the regulars on here).

Think what we could achieve. .......

But it needs people to support the concept guys n gals.....

You have my full support for the concept and indeed the team - apart from me that is.  I talk too much (yes, yes it's true!) and that is what sends O2 people to sleep.  So really your panel needs people with (a) broad user experience of mobiles and the various tariffs etc (b) people with first hand knowledge and regular contact with the day to day manifestations of O2 Customer Service be it High Street shop, online Chat or telephone contact; and (c) people with "interpersonal skills" who can argue and discuss issues logically and in a reasonable manner.  My experience in (a) and (b) is very limited and in (c) has been shown to be somewhat volcanic at times.   Smiley LOL     Good luck!

Do we think this is dead in the water or have you had any positive feedback @Anonymous

To be honest @Anonymous I think it is time for (most) people to stop complaining about o2 on here.

When someone tries to do something to make improvement (almost) no one wants to know.

For me I will just quietly slip away in June and leave the rest on here to keep venting but do naff all about it.

It is dead in the water Bob.

Well I'm disappointed that this may been the case.

Especially when places like Twitter promote links from here and I'm sure I read someone said Live Chat said to come here for assistance, and some links on the main O2 help pages lead to here too.

Well it was down to us members to make something happen by backing it and only 3 or 4 did.

If I was o2 I wouldn't invest in something that the Community don't want to back.

@Anonymous  I haven't been here as long as some but I do know that something similar may have been tried in the past when the forum had Superuser status for a select few members.

It was gone by the time I joined so I have no idea what these Superusers did.

I think this role was disbanded by Leonard one of the managers..? Many were unhappy about that...

Me too....

A great idea but sadly I don't see it getting off the ground though I would love to be proved wrong.

There would certainly be some interesting discussions for sure! wink
