Hi Guys,

I stumbled across this thread having a similar problem:

viewtopic.php?t=48682 my thread on general iphone dicussion.

I could do with some help to make a complaint, I have had my claim in for over 72 hours, no call to tell me whats happening and when I call I just get fobbed off. This morning they have advised me the reason for no call is the phone is out of stock.

Im hesitant to comlpain to O2 Insurance, as worried they will just bump me even further down the list.

Anyone help?

Thanks

yes the iphone 4 insurance excess is £75 and goes up in stages the more claims you put in (read the t&c)

and sorry to tell you but o2 have changed the t&c with all new insurance contracts (they have covered there backside) after the problems thats on here so they are now in there right to wait untill a recon phone is in stock if thats the route the o2 wish to go down , read your t&c

this thread is about old t&c which states "new for old"

sorry chap but i could have told ya to stay away from o2 insurance theres other companys you could have went to , you didnt have to buy o2 insurance

but good luck anyway

Hey guys, after dropping my old 3G 8GB in a puddle on a run last week and then reading this thread I was fearing the worst, but today I had a nice chat with someone who is sending me a new iPhone 3GS 16GB!!

Hope all those still in limbo get sorted soon but the message must be getting through about the new for old!

It appears to be an inconsistent interpretation of the insurance policies, I suspect it is more purely "luck" of whom you speak to. My claim is still ongoing although now it is costing o2 more to challenge it grin

Well I've managed to make some progress with o2 got a call thursday from customer care to tell me i would recive a new phone. But looks like o2 insurance managed to screw up again it never turned up on the friday and when i phoned to ask where it was they had no record of the order and were adiment that no decision had been made
After many phone calls and being passed round the block a cust services person managed to get some where with insurance the phone has been despatched but on a saturday delivery to my work which will be shut.

Thanks for your contribution to Review Centre!

We have received contact from the BBC who are interested in talking to you about your review. Of course we would never share one of our members contact details without permission and so instead we ha pass on the following :

I am researching for a new series of Rip Off Britain for the BBC and I am looking into the issue of problems with mobile phone insurance. Your case is something that would help us highlight some common complaints, and I was hoping you wouldn't mind talking to me about it and potentially getting involved in a short film? If you email your phone number to me at ********@bbc.co.uk I will give you a call back. Thanks.

Thanks again, we look forward to seeing you back on Review Centre soon!

i will deffo be intersted in telling them EXACTLY what went on and how long it took to resolve

The link post earlier in the thread is now dead

Hey,

What your looking for is available on this website
http://web.me.com/sabz/Site/Blog/Entrie ... _Hell.html

I am in the process of claiming a similar claim.
I recently lost my iphone 3g and I want a brand new phone as set out in the significant benefits.

Would be great to hear how yours is going?
I am waiting for a response to my complaint to the CEO and my complaint to the complaints department that I both emailed to them and posted.

Guys, I have such a bad time with O2 insurance.
I have an iphone 3GS 16GB white. The phone is lost or stolen two days ago, on 24th, January. Called O2 and ask them to ban the old phone and sim. And after several conversation with the O2 insurance. I am not aware of changing the t&c of O2's insurance policy. They are insist on charging me 100 pound for excess fee. And today, I am getting a refurbished iphone 3gs 16gb black. (because they said the white is out of stock).
Nothing to say, just like most of you in this thread, I want to congrats O2 that you just lost another customer.
