laptop volume (sound) control ?

I have an Acer Aspire 5750 laptop ... usually when I'm using the iPlayer I'd like sound / volume to be higher ... but ... I don't know how to do this
I'd be grateful for any help, thank you

If there is a speaker icon on the device Jane....just move the slider up to full...
Speaker icon
If you hover mouse over that it will show you how high your volume is...

Right click the speaker icon in the task bar (or choose Control Panel : Sound).
Select Playback Tab : Speakers : Properties.
Select Enhancements Tab.
Check the Loudness Equalization box and click apply.
Volume should now be substantially louder.

There is @Cleoriff ... & ... that's what I've done = sound level was 67%, it's now 100%
Thank you Cleo' & @MI5 for your alternative procedure ... @Anonymous I used to wear a headset for work, so don't want to use one now ... if there was another person in the house then I would, as it is the cat doesn't seem to mind
