Hi,

I am new to this, thanks to the move from Virgin to O2 and just in one day I already regret this.

I have been needing to upgrade my phone for a while now and I could not do it because virgin told me I needed to wait for the move before I could renew my phone.

When I said I need to upgrade, is not one of those I want a a new fancy phone because is cool, is I need it because my previous one was stolen (while on contract and have been paying ever since) and I have been driving a very cheap £100 phone for the last 2 years and is failing constantly and is going to die very soon.

So yesterday when I was finally moved, I came here and decided to upgrade, I don't care about phone color so normally I take whatever is available.

I decided to buy the Cream Samsung S23, this was at 9:00am that was available for NEXT day delivery.

So I did everything and all I had to do was wait.

I got an email a couple of hour later telling me, they didn't have the phone and it was backordered and that I have to wait around 5 weeks!!!

5 freaking weeks!!!

So I decided to call O2 and ask if they could just change the order to whatever colour they had available, for what they said they needed to cancel my order wait 24 hours and then I had to do a new order.

That is just ridiculous because how can guarantee that after 24 hours is there going to be anything available? I placed an order while it was available and still not they tell me to wait 5 weeks!!

I guess all I can do now is cancel the order and move out of O2 because in just one day they destroyed trust I may had.

Problem is that O2 don't have a live stock system, so what is advertised is not necessarily in stock.

Causes all sorts of problems

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@AlbertX

You need to call O2 again to make sure that order has been cancelled.

If not, it may turn up after 5 weeks which would then involve you returning it under the change of mind policy. https://www.o2.co.uk/help/device-and-sim-support/returning-your-device

Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (Contract) OR 4445 or 0344 809 222 (PAYG)

Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.

The Problem is not cancelling the Order is the fact that the sell you something they don't have under the pretence of next day delivery.

I find this essentially a scam, because then you need to contact them to cancel the order, any other place you just press a button and the order is cancelled.

Honestly I will be moving to Giffgaff
