Hello, I got an iPhone X - alledgedly like new.
It had quite a lot of scratches and scuffs on the screen and body, which whilst I appreciate it is not brand new, was quite disappointing for what I am paying for it.
After transferring from my old iPhone 6, I noted the following faults;
It wouldn't always charge.
The earpiece volume was low and distorted.
I could have sent it back (world of pain to delete everything and go back to my old phone), but my hubby had a quick look.
He immediately spotted that there was a huge amount of compacted fluff in the charging port, which he removed.
He also looked at the earpiece grille and discovered (under a microscope) that it was completely bunged up with (probably) dead skin and grease, presumably from the previous owner. With careful brushing he was able to clear it.
But the fact remains that this 'like new' phone obviously didn't undergo any basic checks before it was sold on to an unsuspecting customer.
Not very happy.

Sounds absolutely disgusting. I know you don't want to change it but I certainly think you should complain.
