iPhone 5 DIDN'T Come!!

Anonymous

Despite preordering my device on Saturday evening (15th Sep), I was filled with disspointment when I arrived home to find nothing. No iPhone, just sadness.:smileysad:

(I mean, what's the point of PREordering something if I don't get it on time)...

Last night (20th Sep), I recieved an email saying 'You did it. Your iPhone 5 order is in our system'. This filled me with fear as I interperated this as 'we have just seen your order, we'll send it soon'. And as a result - no iPhone.

I have checked on my order staus and all it's giving me is 'In Progress' (I can only assume this means it hasn't been sent).

Ive been with O2 all my life, and I thought this would have been simple. My friends that have ordered with Orange and CarphoneWarehouse have recieved their phones but sadly not me.

I've tweeted to O2 and called them up, no luck.

Just wondering if anyone else is awaiting their phone, I ordered the 64GB model so I can't imagine that it would be out of stock. Also, does anyone know what 'In Progress' means?!!

Thanks.

I can completely understand had I known how much of an issue things would be I'd of volunteered myself to work for them for a day to help out as long as I got to walk away with mine:)

Everyone is moaning because they missed out. You really need to take note of bulletins and what not. O2 said anyone who ordered after around 8pm on the 14th of Sept would not get one for another 2 weeks or so. your fault, not O2s.

Cheer up Jamie yes our fault for not ordering fast enough. However O2s fault for the lack of customer service:) and conflicting information.

It's all good now we decided on being patient haha:)

@Jamie1988 - well, it's how you look at it.
- O2 should have stocked more devices

- People should have preordered sooner

- O2 shouldn't have charged for the phone until distpatched

If everybody preorders sooner, then some people WILL miss out. (no matter how you look at it)

It's just a shame that people who order as soon as Sunday get denied a phone.

Also, I'd like to add the actual message I saw when I placed my order:

We'll charge you for the phone today, but your contract will start when your phone is dispatched. You'll get your phone on launch day at the address below.

I'm just annoyed because it specified 'launch day' yet I've had nothing from O2 speaking of delays, guess their delayed in sending emails too...
