iPhone 5 DIDN'T Come!!

Anonymous

Despite preordering my device on Saturday evening (15th Sep), I was filled with disspointment when I arrived home to find nothing. No iPhone, just sadness.:smileysad:

(I mean, what's the point of PREordering something if I don't get it on time)...

Last night (20th Sep), I recieved an email saying 'You did it. Your iPhone 5 order is in our system'. This filled me with fear as I interperated this as 'we have just seen your order, we'll send it soon'. And as a result - no iPhone.

I have checked on my order staus and all it's giving me is 'In Progress' (I can only assume this means it hasn't been sent).

Ive been with O2 all my life, and I thought this would have been simple. My friends that have ordered with Orange and CarphoneWarehouse have recieved their phones but sadly not me.

I've tweeted to O2 and called them up, no luck.

Just wondering if anyone else is awaiting their phone, I ordered the 64GB model so I can't imagine that it would be out of stock. Also, does anyone know what 'In Progress' means?!!

Thanks.

You live up to your name my friend haha.

I'm definatly in the same boat at the moment. However we all know when O2 get around to sorting out 4g/LTE they'll do it right because they haven't rushed it like a lot of carriers. Id prefere to be with a carrier that can plan ahead and have all the kit ready and waiting to be switched on rather than "omgz must get it online now sod the planning well work out problems later"

I can understand the frustration but on the whole o2s 3G signal is very strong and they have coverage almost everywhere. I also love their international bolt ons, which are very useful to me.

I can understand the frustration but however anyone who makes rash decisions to jump to another carrier just because their phone hasn't arrived yet remember you'll be tied to that carrier for a while they're probally worse if not just as good as O2. Be patient and try to dw stress it's not good for your health.

As for CS and gurus that's another story I won't comment on

I just can't believe how pathetic a job 02 have made of this. It clearly stated on the website that anyone who pre-ordered before 4pm the day before launch would recieve an iphone 5 on the day of launch. They even stated on Facebook on Thursday that they would aim to deliver all pre-orders on Friday. What is so annoying is that a quick search of the retail stock shows all local 02 shops have various amounts of available stock. How on earth 02 cannot prioritise their stock to cover those of us upgrading and pre-orders as clearly promised on this website is scandalous.

Trying to get any form of contact and satisfactory reply is almost impossible, and 02 have really let their customers down. It was a simple excercise for them to calculate how many customers were elegible for an upgrade in the weeks before the iphone 5 was released, and thus have enough stock to cover this.

A big big black mark for 02 on this occasion I'm afraid....

I've got to agree the lack of information given actually that's a lie it wasn't the lack of info it was more the amount of useless info we were given:(

I hope there will be an official statement to this all. Doesn't even have to be an apology just a "look guys we fd up here's a small token to show our appreciation for sticking around"

Hi phj,

I'm sorry to hear about that. I've made a statement here. Feel free to join in the discussion.

Cheers,
