iPhone 16: pre order online upgrade or go into store?

Haven’t got an iPhone around launch day since iPhone 6!!! I’m just wondering people’s experience the last couple years as to whether upgrading online for delivery or going into store on launch day is best? I ideally want it ON launch day as I’m impatient.

Others might have a different view @MrFrenzy, but I would get it direct from Apple and leave O2 out of the equation. 

If you are on O2 Switch-Up and hence are tied to O2, the advice generally seems to be to use an O2 retail store. 👍
