I'm a Sky customer.

When I was with "Three" and "Vodafone" prior to that, I was able to stream my music from my iBroadcast online music locker, over cellular, without difficulty.

Now all I get is a "failed to connect" error message.

Sky tell me that they're at a loss to explain it.

It works over Wi-Fi.

The iBroadcast team tell me that it might be "a peering issue with your cellular provider".

Can anybody please shed any light on the issue?

O2 won't be able to assist with Sky issues, sorry.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

It's not a Sky issue.

It's something to do with the way O2 peering works.

You are aware, I suppose, that Sky merely piggyback the O2 network?

O2 sell bandwidth to Sky but it's not just as simple as you receive an O2 signal with the Sky name on your phone......

Your issue is with Sky. If they believe it is subsequently an O2 issue, they need to address it with O2.

@silbylaw

This is Sky / ibroadcast talking rubbish im afraid, and i dont think they know what a peer network is.

O2 use the same peers as every other ISP in the UK such as Linx, Equinix, if these peers had issues then no one would get to ibroadcast

Sky use a Private APN who route data through their own data network as the backhaul to their internet ,services, so you need to contact Sky

This has nothing to do with o2, but how Sky handles their IP traffic.

edited to add further information

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
