O2 bought a new phone. Previous wanted to give my nephew residing abroad. So I have to unlock it . The street traders proposes odblokownie SIM 35 pounds . Stupid I decided to take advantage of O2 online chat support . Mila support the presentation of my needs She said that there is no problem . They checked my details and password. Promised to send me an email with a code to unlock and step by step instructions . Minal first term . Naive again I asked chat online . Again assured me that there is no problem and I will send You download the code from the manual . Guess . Well done me again idiot . Telfon is the Christmas gift I promised my nephew . I do not give a locked phone . I'm mad at the O2 . This is my last contract with this company . Also warn you - it makes no sense to use the service O2 online chat . Not to help. There is no such chance. , I do not know what O2 is holding such a service . Heads of O2, and indeed their children wish you the same gifts that I give thanks to O2 nephew . I wish well-being .

Indeed... Follow the correct process and it will be done, usually within a day for iPhones or 72 hours for all others.....
That is assuming the phone is eligible for unlocking.....?

Why would you buy a phone that is locked to a UK network and then use it abroad?
You could easily have bought a sim free phone elsewhere.

You need to eligible to unlock.
"If you're a Pay & Go customer, your O2 mobile can be unlocked 12 months after purchase for a one-off £15 fee which we'll deduct from your airtime balance. This policy may vary according to the handset you have purchased."

I'm out of contract at the Nokia lumia 800 I now have a new one. Nokias wanted to unlock it. O2 chat service assured me that there is no problem and will send me by mail with the code and instructions step by step. They told me week after week, with no problem. I did not receive an email. Time has passed seven days, now again. How much can wait? What promised that will help?
