When is th UK in the EU? .... when You are not in the U.K. ????????

Anonymous
Not applicable

Ok, when in the EU you can use your allowances to call anywhere in the EU, well that's my understanding.

So I made a call from UK to Poland and was charged £10 for 7 mins, I queried this at O2 store and was told that as I was in the U.K. And not in the EU charges would be payable to call the EU country, when I stated that the UK was in the EU they said yes it was but as I was in the UK then I wasn't "Roaming" in the EU and that charges would apply. Confused or what.

Anybody clarify exactly what this EU ruling means to us in the UK ?

Should we be able to use our allowances to call the EU from the UK, ? Can O2 clarify where we stand.

It applies only when ROAMING so when in UK you ain't I'm afraid.
It's quite clearly laid out in the EU directive.

Sorry but the charges were correct. The operative word is 'roaming' which you were clearly not.
