Hi guys,
I currently use an iPhone 6 and I'm eager to leave the world of Apple behind (its been a fair few years!) and enter the world of Android. All of the comments here on the community, as well as from my friends have convinced me that its a better fit. I've stick with Apple because of the music I have purchased through them, but I want to customise my device in many more ways and want to free up my ability to use music in more easily.
I'm liking the look of the Sony Xperia Z5 or the LG G4, but wanted to hear from you on what you'd recommend and why. You guys know more about this stuff than me!
I need:
- Easy navigation
- Storage freedom (e.g. SD card access if possible)
- Sturdy physical design (I'm a chronic dropper)
However, I'm quite open to suggestions, so if you have a good one, do let me know below

This thread has been so helpful guys, thank you
I'm steering towards the Sonys. The Z5 has always been one on my radar.
@viridis, would you say the general connectivity to PlayStation services is a worthwhile feature of the Sony devices?

I'm 6'6, so 8ft is just enough

Yeah, definitely.
You also can watch your movies purchased through psn on the phone too.
You'll like the Xperia,
Awesome, cheers mate.

So did the LG and Samsung unveilings provide you with more or less of a dilemma @Toby?
For me, the G5 sounds as though they are not sure whether to stick to their guns re design or try and emulate the success of others - the removable battery and bottom section which can be swapped for add-ons is really intriguing and I think an original way of doing things, but the removal of the app drawer is a bit iOS for me.
The S7 looks and sounds like the phone the S6 should have been. But there is not really much in the way of progression (apart from the camera).
The other downside is the cost of both - LG haven't released the price list, but the S7 works out about £300 more over the life of the contract compared to other phones that I have been looking at (£1,049 v £744)!!
