I have been contacted today by "David" claiming to be O2 on 01235 300023. He wanted to offer a 30% discount on my sim deal. This is the 2nd time in a few weeks. Last time they wanted to confirm personal details prior to discussing. This time he wanted me to confirm my current price, but when challenged he'd already know if he was O2, he claimed he was the promotions, not billing dept. I then asked if I could get the deal in store, to which he said yes and promptly hung up.

Please be careful of these calls!

O2 is there a way you would verify your identity with us? I recall last time they wanted to send me a verification code. How do you manage these situations?

Thanks
