Unwanted early morning message from O2

Anonymous
Not applicable
For the last three days at 5.15AM! I have been woken up by a message from O2 stating that I can get "internet acess for less than £1 today" How can I stop getting these or most importantly stop them coming at such a ridiculous time?
I need the phone on 24/7 as I have a relative that may need my help so turning the phone off or putting it on silent is not an option.

And you can't change the message tone?

Just called Customer services & they couldn't help. Said "It's a new thing we're rolling out but don't know why you're getting it more than once" & "I've spoken to my supervisor & we can't do anything at this end" & "It might be that your phone is trying to connect to the internet at that time" ?? At 5.15 in the morning?? All by itself??
It happened again this morning at 5.15, message is not a txt as such ie; no envelope icon but appears on the wallpaper screen with no option to save it, just an "OK" on the bottom left of screen which when pressed sees the message dissapear.
"O2. Hello, you'll only pay up to £1 for using data on your phone today"
Phone is K750i & it needs to be on 24/7 for reasons stated in original post.

Hi rstmg
Sorry about this - you certainly shouldn't be receiving these texts so early in the morning and I'm surprised at the response from customer service. Please PM me your mobile number, and I'll help in any way I can.
Thanks
Chris

These seem to be unstructured service messages (like the balance notification) rather than text messages. I guess this should be triggered when you first use data so that you know its capped at £1 a day.
Would be interesting to hear what comes of this and if anyone else receives the message?
@sheepdog, I don't think SonyEricsson handsets let you change the tone for these, and there is a 'feature' whereby it blocks text messages until the notification is dismissed.

I received one of these messages at 0712 this morning.
It's not triggered by data usage on the network as although I was browsing the BBC web site at the time I was doing so using my WIFI connection.

It's clear it's not being triggered by data usage. By it certainly looks like its supposed to be.
