Unable to make or recieve calls!

Since I have put my o2 sim card in my unlocked Nokia phone, I have lost all my call contacts and am unable to make or recieve calls! Yet I can send and recieve texts, strange!
I would really appreciate any help with this problem. Thanks in advance.

Is the sim card topped up?

Your contacts are either saved to the phone memory or to a memory card, you can't rely on them being saved to a sim card.

Hi, thanks for reply. Yes you were right, I rang o2 who were very helpful, I had to put my sim card back in my old phone, and copy my phone contacts onto the sim card and now everything a-ok
