UK Mail are a waste of bloody time!

Ordered a spare 'el cheapo' mobile via the O2 website on the 26 October 2014. Has  the said phone been delivered via UK Mail ???, has it hell.

First I got: .'...Your O2 order MS-xxxxxxxx has experienced a possible delay and we might not be able to deliver on Mon. Please contact Customer Care on 03451 554 455 quoting....' I did not really expect it to arrive next day, but honestly after checking the UK Mail tracking page to read the delivery process as being;

29th October 2014 08:44 At Delivery Location
27th October 2014 10:40 Booked/Awaiting Collection
27th October 2014 10:40 Collected
27th October 2014 09:00 Delayed

It sounds good but where is it?. Now the site says the item has been delivered, yeah bloody right, but not here!. I know finding country addresses can be problematic but can they not phone....

Trying to contact UK Mail is a waste of time. Fours times I called & was in a queue that never shortened. I tried emailing them via web-form, but either their site had issues or it would accept the mail & send out a generic email with a ref number, & that's it.They never email you back or help.

Contacted O2 via the online chat & was told they had contacted UK Mail over this. Well I'm still waiting for my moby.

What a shoddy bunch of useless  crooks UK Mail are, I won't be buying aught more via the O2 website & in the future I'll find out who sites/companies use for delivery.

By the way I got a spare moby from Tesco Direct delivered via Yodel, they can deliver why is it so hard for UK Mail??.

Had a chat online with an 'Angie' via the O2 site which makes me a bit more hopeful.

Transc. excerpt being;

O2 : Angie: Wayne, I've checked that it is delivered in your address on 29/10/2014
O2 : Angie: Now I'm taking ownership of your account and send this mater to our investigation team.
Wayne Easton: Well it wasn't as I was at home that day & the next & nothing was delivered
Wayne Easton: What does Taking Ownership of acc entail.?. Would add the cheap mob I ordered from you was a spare. As I'm currently using a mob I got from Tescos on this number
O2 : Angie: They'll check all details and will get back to you with in 24 to 48 hours and if that order is misplaced then we'll place the bars in that phone and send you the new phone.
O2 : Angie: We need to check the details of your order to UK mail then, we'll send you the new handset.
O2 : Angie: Oh.. okay.
O2 : Angie: My pleasure,.
Wayne Easton: Can copy past you the order details if you want
O2 : Angie: Please do not worry, you'll get new phone which you have odered very soon.
O2 : Angie: I've got all details from your account.
Wayne Easton: OK that saves me the job.

....

When/if it finally arrives (I hope not via UK-Mail) I'll have two spares ah well.....

So, what has come to pass since my chat with 'Angie' of O2 (online chat) on the 10th of November 14....Nothing. Total waste of time after 'O2 : Angie: Now I'm taking ownership of your account and send this mater to our investigation team.' I thought things might move forward but has O2 gotten into contact with me since the 10th?....no'p...
Having read other comments of similar experience  regards UK Mail & 'speaking with O2' their customer relations is lacking. I will be complaining to O2 perhaps this weekend when I have more time but certainly more energy & patience.

Yes I knlow Hermes/Yodel etc can be bad I have had delays from them in the past, but once they deliver once to my address they tend to improve with successive drops. UK Mail are perhaps still in the 'find my location ether'.

The speil from 'Angie' on the 10th has not rung true either in her (??)  saying: ' Please do not worry, you'll get new phone which you have odered very soon.' Define 'Very soon' O2....

Outsourced as defined by the poor English grammar. Call 202 and ask to be connected to the UK call centre.

Given that we have advised the best course of action, and this hasn't been followed, I am not sure we can do much here.

You need to call o2 customer services on 202, explain politely the issue then as your contract (for purchase of the phone) is with o2 it is THEIR responsibility to sort it.

Please avoid Live Chat for this type of issue. It needs 202 CS.

Yes the 'typos by Angie' as per  my O2 Online chat' did have me musing on the geographical location of  the said Angie.  Regardless I have lost all confidence with O2 &  well thinking about UK Mail has  me   near foaming at the gob. Just  a shame O2 promise the earth re deliveries when it's not they, themselves that are doing the delivery aspect of it. My only ironic  consolation  is that numerous others have suffered the same infuriating charade as myself. Crazy

Re the O2/ 'UK Mail Delivery Are Bloody Useless' Saga.

This afternoon to my Mobile (Huawei Smart Phone, not bought from O2) I get 3x nearly identical emails from UK Mail stating:

'Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting UK Mail.

We are pleased to confirm that your case has now been closed.(Hmmmm?)

Case Number: CC1F*** ( and two other never answered case numbers)
Consignment Number: 3102********
Should you need to contact Customer Care further on this case please quote the Case Number or your Consignment number.
Regards,
Customer Services
UK Mail
etc...'
...................
Did UK Mail ever contact me by email to explain why they'd never delivered my moby?...eh...no...
So I called O2 on 4445, spoke to a chap who certainly sounded by his accent that he was "doon sooth' explained the situation etc. He called UK Mail & said that the moby had been returned to O2. I explained that a refund would be preferable to playing tennis with the phone & he said in due course this would be made to my account....define: 'in due course.'?
He mentioned the UK Mail 'Tracking' update, which I just now logged into & 2 days ago a new 'update' after they claimed they'd delivered on the 29th Nov [08:44 At Delivery Location].:
'18th November 2014 1200 Please Call' ...what to go onto a never to be answered queue?.
The value of the phone was immaterial (el cheapo ,spare, have a spare now anyway) , but really UK Mail whatever their excuses/lack of customer care are the biggest problem in this case. Honestly if I took on a job that I couldn't do/deliver I'd not last long. But I guess they've won the 'delivery' contract so customer dissatisfaction besides, they're laughing. Perhaps there are hedges in places with lots of phone-like packages thrown over.
I never called O2 before probably because the moby was at the back of my mind, whilst at work etc, plus I got a suitable spare from another source, essentially it was less of a priority.
Regardless thanks for your help guys/gals.....Cat Happy

Miraculously, my UKMail parcel was delivered bang on time this afternoon so I think it all depends on the individual driver you get.....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
