Turning Off Voice Mail

Hi, l am travelling soon and have never been able to work out how to turn off voicemail
I have tried calling 1760 but this seems to have no effect
Ideally l would like to be able to leave a message but not allow any messages to be left
Any ideas

1760 is correct. How do you mean it seems t have no effect? Are you calling the number and hearing the recorded message?

It needs to be switched off before you go, I don't think you can do it from overseas.

What happens now when you 1760 is voicemail still active?
You may need to ring ustomerservices explain the issue and they may have to reset things there end.
