Sorry folks,
I am going to cut through all this chat about early upgrade fee and point out something very important.
Has anyone taken any notice of the data limit they will implement if you upgrade....NO
Well I have had a good look over the info they have posted and from my understanding. You will have a limit of 500mb more or less from 1st October 2010 depending on your tarrif. They have realised we are benifiting to much from the unlimited data tarrif and will now start charging us to if we go over or give us the option to bolt on more data/surf time for an extra fee. It's all in the details. take a good look folks. If this is the case I will not be upgrading and I will purchase my phone out right whilst keeping my exsisting tarrif which has unlimited data+Wi-Fi

The tiltle does say smart phone, but I beleieve this applies to the iPhone.

Surely they shouldn't have made it 'unlimited'? What irks me the most is that they do nothing to cut down the heavy users, they just punish everyone.

Erm. O2 are not "punishing everyone". They are introducing a cap that will punish the small minority of heavy users, and have no real effect on the vast majority of people who have normal use.

I suggest that anyone who doesn't like the new tarifs, removing unlimited data and making the monthly usages so low, requests their PAC code. at least this will keep your options open for tuesday and may make o2 consider their very low data caps. :robotmad: :robotsad:

Good luck on that one:
Free allowances:
O2: 500MB / 750MB / 1GB (tariff-dependent) extra 500Mb = £5, extra 1GB = £10
Vodafone: 500Mb / 1GB (tariff-dependent)
T-Mo: 1GB
Orange: 500Mb
Three: 500Mb & 10p / MB over (=£100 / Gb)
On paper O2 are just as generous as other companies.

Just makes me wonder how many people are put their tail between their legs and stick with O2 despite their ramblings about the data cap.
