TERRIBLE Customer service!!!!

To whom it may concern:

I've just been treated really badly by one of your "customer service people" (somebody called Maria, with a rather obscure and incomprehensible northern accent). She was clearly annoyed by me not exactly understanding what I was being offered: dare I say that sometimes mentioning the name of an O2 package is not enough for the average customer. You also need to explain what that package means...
I've been keeping the kindest manners throughout the conversation and yet I was confronted with harsh tone and rudeness. Furthermore I was being told off for talking over her (funnily enough I thought it was the other way round) and finally, to top it all off, she even hang up the phone on me.
Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"? I've never been treated in such a way by any customer service and I am so disappointed that I am even thinking of moving my contract to Orange.

Lost any sympathy I might have had for you.
I would love to hear both sides of that conversation :womanindifferent:

Me too, I hope that post is not the way the OP spoke to O2 ( I hope its just frustration ), but if it is my sympathy really lies with the poor lady at O2.

with many years in customer service, its a phrase that makes me curl up in anger when i hear it. It is seriously over used, mostly by people who are generally in the wrong!

Thats not to say i dont do my best with every customer i deal with.

PS- what was the purpose of the call to customer services?

Surely all that's needed here is for O2 to set up a call centre in the street where the OP lives, staffed by local people who speak in a similar dialect.

I feel that they are remiss in not providing this service.

Yes, all northerners shouldnt speak to anyone from below the watford gap :womanindifferent:
If the OP wants a top quality customer service, go to one of the other companies that have their call centre in India and speak with "kevin" grin

You appear to be an unpleasant individual and I would have hung up on you too!!

On reading your abuse of the English language, dare I suggest that the language barrier issue was not just the fault of the CS adviser?
