Sudden loss of internet after mast upgrade

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have had a 5c for 2 years always received 3G at home on O2. Last week local mast was down and upgraded some people in local area now getting 4G. Mine is turned on thro my iphone and iPad but both now show E or GPRS. As problem on more than 1 device O2 said will run a check. It's intermittent for the last week. Any ideas? Could an upgrade have affected my phone and iPad that beforehand were fine?! Seems doubtful it's the device as both of them suffering same issue at same time. Any advice please? After 4 calls to O2 and many conflicting comments from customer service I am clueless! Many thanks

Hi @Anonymous

Have you checked the mast /network status in your area? I know you said they were working on it... but have a look at this guide http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Self-help-guide-Is-the-network-down-for-me-or-everyone/m-p/593752#M59833

Also do a quick check of your mast by putting your postcode in here..

Have you tried turning your phone on & off because that might convince it to connect

Check if you can still get 3g elsewhere. If so, it's still an issue with your local mast.
