Sub Threading The Android Section Again.

Anonymous

Morning All!! slight_smile

I know it was a pain at the start in the old format, But what would you guys all think about sub-threading the Android section again.

I say this because the current Android section (Due to the dominance of Samsung) seems to just be a Samsung thread.

Personally, I'm not much good with Samsung but better on others for advice. Would it make it easier of others to give advice if it was sub-threaded again?

One downside to this that I can see is.  There is more forum interaction in the current format.

Discuss.......

Kind of see the o2 point of view - in the old forum the PAYG section was dormant at times then exploded into life. However, since O2 broadband is heading towards a grave now its gone to Sky, that means there is a space coming up that needs to be filled given that there will be very very few posts in there. Or in the worse case, there is no replacement for it.

Which also brings into question: is the broadband forum going to be archived or removed? I'd hate to see it removed given there's quite a lot of good info in there.

I'm very open to test and experiment but when it comes to splitting boards we need the activity to be there in the first place, we can't apply changes hoping that the new board structure will attract additional activity. In my experience (and I've got some :smileywink:) it never works out this way.

As for the Broadband board, we will keep you informed about its destiny but it won't be removed any time soon. I'll update you as we agree the plan.

Will that be with forum users consultation or will it be "your" decision Smiley Frustrated

I get a feeling that Lithium have more input into any changes than we have......or O2.

Brand protection springs to mind.

Seems to me that the powers that be are more interested in stats and traffic rather than functionality. Sorry but I STILL do not see the logic of combining P&G and Monthly. Two totally different sections however you dress it up. I agree, lock the thread as we aren't being listened to at all. I will not be posting in this thread again as it's totally pointless....IMHO.

Has it ever been organised?

There will be brand new threads been started with exactly the same subject as the 10 below but they won't be merged because the OP's won't be able to find their winge again.... They will expect us to answer the very same question 100 times a day because no one can be bothered with search and we'll be the only ones getting moderated because of our frustraction with the whole shambles.... But don't worry guys, as long as the one time poster can get it "off their chest" all will be well in O2 world wink

Baa

I forgot we are not allowed to use anything sheep related when talking about Apple fanboys.

The structure & moderation of this forum is pretty poor, im not sure if its down to the puppets inlisted as staff OR more likely the puppet master actually pulling the strings.
