Hi all
I guess this may have been questioned before, if so sorry to repeat the question.
I have a BT email account on my home PC, works fine.
I have just bought a new smart phone and want to send and receive my BT emails from this phone. I can receive but can't send. This is the same thing that happens on my notebook when away from the home hub.
So how do I overcome this problem. It doesn't affect my hotmail or Gmail account.
Please don't say that I can receive on BT but need to reply on Gmail.
Thanks in advance

check you have the correct isp info for you bt account in your smtp settings from this list http://www.o2.co.uk/ispsettings
If that fails and the device allows you to setup aditional smtp servers add one for o2 from that list using your free webmail account email address on o2 then when using the o2 cell data it should send just fine.

Why is it that BT doesn't allow me to reply to my BT mail from mobile devices?
I have now set up a Gmail account that accesses my BT mail and allows me to reply to it from with in Gmail. My only problem is that any message that I access from BT in Gmail do not now appear back in Outlook Express/Live, any ideas how I can overcome this?
Thanks

The issue is port blocking by o2 or bt seeing it comming from a non bt connection.
My iphone allows me to setup the smtp server to have the o2 as an alternate smtp server and that send my one account that will not go on o2 with the isp smtp server.
