Security Reasons

I bought a card a couple of weeks ago which has now been blocked by o2 for "security reasons." I spoke to the help chat service yesterday but they could not tell me why and said someone would call within 48 hours. so I am stuck with a useless SIM card having spent good money on it. Does anyone have any idea of how I can speed up o2's response and has anyone any experience of taking successful legal action against 02 for the unilateral withdrawal of the service?

@colci,
Sorry to hear you've had problems accessing your sim card. There could be various reasons for blocking a sim card when it's not used for a long time. We do have some security measures in place but having said that, I'm more than happy to investigate what exactly happened in your case. In worst case scenario, a new sim card can be issued for you and we can arrange for transferring any credit remaining on the old sim card.
Could you please PM me your details so I can quickly sort this for you.
@Brendan O2,
On this forum, the official representatives from O2 will always have @O2 username like mine and will have the 'Site Admin' status. I hope this clears any doubts you may have had earlier. We'll continue to restrict any user ID's that may potentially be misinterpreted as official representatives from O2.
Thanks
Abs

Abs, I was just making a point to her as she has for a few days been giving advice as if she was an o2 employee (she may well be but not on here officially). I just thought folks needed to be aware of the distinction.

It has now gone, no worries Abs as I was reporting someone else seems fair you remove mine. But you will notice it was only my second post and I set it up when someone else was doing the same as Samantha.
