Be aware of a call claiming to be from 02 offering a discount for your loyalty.

They will send you two official texts from 02, the second message contains a security code. They ask you to confirm the code. DO NOT tell them this code, this enables them to purchase handsets etc from your account.

This has been reported in the media recently and I received a call today. I then received the two text messages which appeared in my usual 02 message thread. It was the warning on the text not to share the code with anyone - including 02 staff that saved me from sharing it.

Rather sophisticated fraud.

@Jillian110

Just to add like a lot of companies now, if you do share that code, then they may find you liable for the debt and credit agreements.

Apple now have started rejecting refund claims where parents have shared pin numbers for purchases made by children when given the Apple devices.
