S3 mini to S4 mini sim !!!!

my son just upgraded from s3 mini to s4 mini,, only the sim in the s3 is a reg sized sim from what i can see,, so am i gunna need a smaller one for the s4 mini,, or do u get one to activate in the box when new phone arrives.. help please 🙂

Hi

You can ask any O2 shop to perform he swapmysim Instore which moves the number and tariff from your original sim to the new one.

Takes approx 24 hours after they do it to settle.

Or if the right sized one is sent perform the sim swap

Only do this when you have the new sized SIM card as a code will be sent to your original sim card.

You'll know when the process starts as the original sim will lose service.

The sim in the S3 is normally a microsim

EDIT sorry, just noticed it's the mini.

As said O2 will swap it out for you..

tryed the quick chat and they said he should get one in the box and then its easy to swap ,,just put new sim in and ring them to activate it.. just hope they send one in the box, phone gets delivered tomorrow. just seing if anyone else got one sent with  the new phone too so i wont need to do a 20 mile round trip to get one lol .. thanks for help

The reason I ask is they hold different info.

If he was payg then you could have ordered one online or picked one up from a £1 shop etc.

contract,, i knew it would be different sized. i hope they put one in the parcel  should do  .. sods law i guess, there was me thinking i could just put old one in lol no!!
