I ported from EE to O2. I think this was a big mistake.

SMS is broken, and this has stopped iMessage and FaceTime from working as well.

I see that others have had similar issues. I am within 14 day cooling off period.

Do these issues get fixed? Or shall I just cut and run?

O2 have stated up to 7 days to resolve, which is absurd.

@ThingAddams

It regularly takes 7 to 10 days for the number to update for iMessage and Facetime.

Also look at this guide Guide: Text Message Tips (not sent or received)

Guide: How to find help & contact O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

There is no reason for that, and there is no support article from any network or Apple explaining why that is the case.

SMS on my phone is broken. I cannot send SMS, and I cannot receive SMS from anyone other than O2. That suggests an issue with porting my number from EE.

Fix the SMS issue and you’ll fix iMessage. If SMS is working but iMessage isn’t then you can raise a support issue with Apple to resolve it.

@ThingAddams Have you told O2 you are using an iPhone. If not, you will need to get that added to your account. and change your APN to idata as idata.o2.co.uk

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Just knowledge from years of experience with O2.

The data apn has nothing to do with sms btw......
