I just wanted to thank 02 for making it nigh on impossible to request my PAC code, have decided it is much easier to just take on a new number.  I won't be coming back.

Well if we don't ask ...we wont get. So I have asked.

I think O2 need to weigh up the time it would save CS advisors and the frustration it generates for everyone. .

Absolutely and O2 will decide that regardless.

@Cleoriff @jonsie @MI5  Oldish thread here, but is "Unlick Device" option on the MyO2 App main menu (screenshot to follow) not the same as requesting a PAC code?

Excuse my ignorance, I've been with O2 since the start and probably only requested a PAC code once, many years ago, but did not need to use it.

Another reason why it should be part of My O2. If folk can request an unlock code via that route... then they should be able to request their pac. It would certainly reduce the number of calls to customer services..

No mate, unlocking frees your device of its lock to o2 sim cards so you can use a sim from another network.
A PAC is a code that enables you to move your phone number to a different network.

And the reason why O2 will never put the PAC code request into My O2 is because they want the option of trying to convince you to stay.

After the roaming shambles I could see PAC code requests being activated by 1000's of customers if it was in My O2!!! So it will remain as it is for now @pgn...nauseated_face

I understand now.  Yes, it would be useful to have that accessible from somewhere on the O2 website or the MyO2 app thumbsup
