Hi,
I have a X3 Pro ATM to play with.
Although not been out a night since release to try it.

What lens ? , Night mode or standard? Any stabilisation?

Any examples?

Sidenote - I love this device. So nice in the hand , very very comfortable to use. Top tier build quality.
And ( day only so far ) I'm very impressed with the 2 main camera's.

Plus, going back to non vooc2 is going to be hard.

My attempts at night photography have usually been disappointing, as the greatly reduced light levels need either a longer exposure time, creating camera shake, or a wider lens aperture, which phone cameras can't do. In short, phone cameras are unlikely to be good at night scenes.

The good news however, is that (for me at least) the best pictures seem to happen while I'm out and about, and not carrying a "proper" camera (just the phone) - and in my opinion at least, photography is far more about seeing the opportunity, and composing your picture correctly than expensive equipment.

Looking at online reviews, it seems that as phones go, you've got a decent camera with yours, so keep an eye out for those opportunities, and let's see some of them here

The only thing you need with night photography on a phone, is simply a tripod.
Use tripod, use shutter delay to make sure no shake when button is pressed and the Rest leave to the phones night mode software.
If it turns out ****, use manual mode, keep iso below 1000, set focus to infinity and adjust shutter length to suit the image look.
Longer exposure is lighter, but can cause star trails, shorter is crisper but darker.

Hi yes I do agree the oppo is an amazing phone with great lenses. I have however been spoilt with the huawei p20 pro whose night shots are greatly superior. I've had some blown up when I was on the Camino in Spain and they're incredible. This was stolen by some nice person.

The feel and everything, is marvellous on this oppo, just not great nightshots .

thanks 🙂

I love the phone and guessed I just need some fine tuning to use it well. 😬
