I've asked at three local London O2 outlets why my mobile no longer connects to Virgin Media WiFi at the tube stations and no one has a clue. It used to connect but now won't.
I'm on PAYG and I've topped up very recently. My friend has the same issue, so its not just me then.
see http://www.o2.co.uk/connectivity/wifi-london-underground
Yes O2 WiFi is installed and my mobile is registered to use it.
Anyone else have this problem?

OK guys I'll raise this with the team to see if there are any ongoing issues that would cause this. I'll update this thread with any news.

Thanks for the replies and suggested fix, but none of this works.
This problem for us started over 2 weeks ago (before 7th April) and O2 have been next to useless both on the Live Chat and in the shops - I've visited 4 of the local shops and no one has been able to fix this. The Live Chat operatives don't seem to understand the fault is in the system, not on our phones, as earlier it was working for us like clockwork.
The error we are getting when we try to connect at a Tube Station is ...
"Sorry, we're having problems ay the moment. We're working on it, so have another go later"
I even went back to my old phone (Sony Xperia U) to see if that would work. After another O2 WiFi forget and reset episode in the shop the same error message above persists.
This has nothing to do with not topping up as we've just done that to be on the safe side.

No help but these problems tend to fix themselves and we are none the wiser to what the problem was initially. ..

I also have this problem and whatever I try doesn't solve it. It's happened before then suddenly became mysteriously right, it really is black magic. Now thinking about leaving O2 as I use the underground a lot.

Hi,
Am having the same issue. It was working fine till around a month ago. We I connect I'm redirected to the O2 login page, but am getting a certificate error saying the certificate isn't from a trusted authority. Could this be because Android have dropped support for the Symantec root certificate?
