Hello guys. Apparently o2 is down. Got 2 phones, checked them both at 6am coz i couldn't send txts and when i restarted phone, no signal no nothing. did same on other.
Their status page for postcode checker says its fine..updated hourly but not for past 3 hours and the msg below is

2G and 3G Service Interuption
We have identified a connectivity issue on our network which has affected both 2G and 3G service in parts of East London, North London and Kent. Customers in these areas may be experiencing difficulty in making or receiving mobile calls, texts or using data. Our Engineering team are working on the problem as a priority in order to resume full service as soon as possible.
So dont worry too much...as long as it comes back. So...yep Im worried

yep mine just came back on 
Just had a 5mins talk on o2 to a mobile abroad - so im guessing thats like the lowest priority for routing - and it was fine.
The blog hasn't updates so I imagine theyre bringing up areas one at a time. Looking good so far...

Couldnt resist, tried another call, ok again. Signal seems stable, not jumping up and down...so far so good.

Considering nobody yet knows the extent of the damage caused, I think that repair time is quite remarkably quick, this could have taken much longer.

Oh i agree, considering it was theft, a big one apparently, im glad to have it back today. 16 hours is a long time to be without the phone though, for whatever reason
not their fault at all though. Well...maybe lessons could have been learnt from the voda incident but we will never know the details so its speculation there.
