2G and 3G Service Interuption
We have identified a connectivity issue on our network which has affected both 2G and 3G service in parts of East London, North London and Kent. Customers in these areas may be experiencing difficulty in making or receiving mobile calls, texts or using data. Our Engineering team are working on the problem as a priority in order to resume full service as soon as possible.
So dont worry too much...as long as it comes back. So...yep Im worried tongue

Yep, Same here. Im in east london without any signal. First thought it was my phone (Updated it to 2.3 yesterday) - found out thats not the case, as I tried it in both of my HTC's (Desire HD and Desire Z both didnt recieve a signal).
Ahwell, I suppose they will have it fixed soon.

Oh i hope so. We have alot of issues here (e7 forest gate). Usually its me calling, saying somethings wrong. Like people hear me with the robot voice issue...and they check, say their status is ok...but theyll check with engineer....then next day i get a call, engineer found problem. He fixed it, can i check its ok. It usually isnt tongue so they resend him, he refixes the fix and then its ok lol. So usually its me telling them somethings wrong...so you see...when its o2 telling me something wrong first? I worry!!!
haha
Fingers crossed huh?
Scarey when you do something to your phone and suddenly by coincidence the networks goes funny eh?

Does O2 not have the ability to ensure that their voicemail service works whilst they address the issue? I dialled my mobile and a recorded message says "It has not been possible to connect your call, please try again later". Frustrating!!!

Just noticed they changed the status msg:

Making calls and using data
We've got a problem that means you can't make calls, use the internet, or send/get emails in parts of East London, North London, east Sussex and Kent.
Dunno why they changed it, but there you are.
Getting more paranoid by the minute here tongue

Look what O2's Live Status Checker says for my area;
"Our network is currently working fine. We'll be carrying out some maintenance on our phone masts in this area on the 19 May.
Updated 04:20 (refreshed hourly). Recent faults might not show yet."
So I can look forward to more of the same on Thursday...Gimme my PAC now...LOL! :womanindifferent:

Seems to be getting worse.
I'm in Essex and all calls to my mobile go direct to voicemail, but worse, calls to the wife's return "sorry there is a fault, please try later".
Now that last message is a BT-originated one, meaning the call can't route from the BT network to O2!!
