I just want to communicate to O2 that 1gb is by no means "more than enough data"
I plan on running with my watch almost every day and listen to new or different music each time.
On top of that, data is used for phone calls.
Really I don't want to be stuck in a 3 year contract with not enough data.
Why are they like this? Why do apple watches get infinite data and galaxy watches are stuck like this? I'm likely to leave and go to EE as soon as my phone contract is over just because of this.

Because that is what after they have discussed with Samsung and is deemed enough data for their watches. Also Samsung Watches are a lot more efficient than Apples Bloatware...
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

I like the samsung ecosystem, it's nothing to do with them
It's just there is no option on O2 except for 1gb
I'm not certain how many songs or phone calls I can do with that
I'm also more interested in the airtime plans on offer. With EE I can get 10gb for £7, and O2 it's £5 for 1gb.

Unless you are out of range of your phone, the watch will use the phones data.
The watch data is primarily for calls when away from the phone.

I know that, but the idea is I can go for an hour run every other day whilst listening to new spotify music and making calls. Primarily so I don't have to carry around a large S21+ whilst running
Does anyone know if you can leave the airtime only plans whenever you want?

The airtime is tied to the device plan so can only be cancelled when the device is fully paid.
