Not receiving service until 4 days later

Anonymous
Not applicable

When I arrived in Australia 4 days ago I wasn't able to receive service even though o2 Roaming was set to on. Until today I got a text message about making/receiving calls/texts and using data in the country.

It wasn't like this when I arrived in Hong Kong where I had service almost immediately.

I'm not using o2 Travel. Just a 12 month contract.

Does anyone have an explanation for this?

It sounds like your phone didn't register on the network immediately for some reason. It may have been an issue with the local networks or in how o2 was interacting with them. Commercial agreements can also play a factor, but we can only guess as to the reasons why unfortunately.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
