o2 have the clever way of gaining extra money as they do not inform you that your contract is at its end & use a 30 day cancellation period forcing you to pay an extra bill, another gripe is the fact that o2 will lower the tariff of an existing account if you open another contract with them but when you ask to lower a tariff for your financial benefit they tell you to take a hike. Charming.

you can always check in myo2 when your contract is due to end or phone Customer Service
it's not up to o2 to inform you when your contract is about to end
Every single network charges for the final bill
for eg: you took your contract out on 16.12.2011 for 2 years, so your contract will end on 16.12.2013, you give 30 days notice on the 16.11.2013 and your final bill will come out next month so technically you are not paying an extra bill

What a confused view, all mobile companies work in the same way, if everyone's phones were disconnected at the end of their contracts it would cause chaos.
It's so easy nowadays to set a reminder so you don't forget it's due to end.
Why do people assune normal practice is some kind of a fiddle, it's been done like this since mobile phones started?
