Hi all
I'm at my wit's end. I went to Germany in April, no access to data. When I returned, 02 told me they'd not turned on my roaming data on my account when I transferred from Virgin last year. All good I thought. I went to Poland last week - still no data, despite trying everything O2 suggested. I'm off to Italy soon - any suggestions on what else I can do to get roaming data there? I really need it working there!
Many thanks
PS I have an iphone 7

Ask o2 if you have the iPhone/iData bolt on on your account @AlanCr
This makes some changes on the o2 side as how to handle your data in the background.
Check data roaming is on in phone settings.
Manually search for another network
Turn off 5g
Change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
Check with O2 whether you have a roaming bar on your account. Do this via social media
If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X)( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help.

If it's Android then make sure Data Roaming is turned on.
Found under Settings > Connections > Mobile networks

Thank you I will try that - meantime 02 are sending me a new sim card to see if that works (which has resulted in no service at all on my phone!)

Oh dear. O2 have the annoying policy of turning off your SIM when a new one is ordered leaving you without a connection. They are not the sharpest pencil in the pack
