No MMS allowance on a premium contract x3! very disappointed!

I'm really disappointed. I like O2 and have been a loyal customer for quite some time. I recently upgraded three phones for my family and all are on premium contracts - unlimited everything and 3/5 gig of data for all. I was just checking my account today to find out what the MMS picture allowance is for all - to find out it's zero! Not even five or ten free MMS as a matter of goodwill. I find out I have to spend another £5 a month on each account to receive 50 picture messages. Nearly an extra 10% of the overall cost for each phone. Really disappointing.

Complain here mate http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain
We don't set the tariffs, O2 do, and MMS are a good money spinner.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Email,WhatsApp, messenger, Line, Vibe, Skype, Tango etc.....All free over wifi and most people have at least one of them. They are also much more reliable. Loyalty has nothing to do with it in afraid.

MMS messages have always been chargeable.....even Corporate accounts with 50+ connection don't get free MMS messages. Email pictures or use one of the large variety of free apps available.

I seem to recall back in the mists of time that MMS where charged as 4 text messages, this may have been on PAYG years ago though.

It was usually 3 text messages. 160 characters makes one text so if you exceeded 480   it converted to MMS

It was on the old legacy tariffs and 4:1 for texts from abroad too.

With all the other methods available for sending pictures, and for free, MMS should be history too.:smileywink:

You're right, with smartphones now the norm MMS is obsolete. slight_smile
