The reviewers seem to like it @jonsie, let's hope it lives up to expectations. 😀

Please let us know what you think of it when you have set it up and tested it ! 👍

I've read lots of reviews and yes, not seen any negative ones

I don't need nor would I pay for a top of the range phone

I did once, I bought a Note 4 direct from Samsung (where I always buy) and it cost me £699 way back then. !2 months later - new model out! I vowed never again...

Incidentally the A55 5G is £10 cheaper than Samsung are selling the A54 5G for plus there is £50 cashback after 30 days direct from Samsung

One of my favourite youtubers aka TechSpurt has done a review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SkP6LgcM4U

Seems like a good alternative to the S24x line up

@madasaf1sh

I've just bookmarked Tech Spurt ; a new one to me and he seems to have some interesting stuff on there.

GSM Arena is my usual place for video reviews but there's always room for a second opinion. 👍

Yes, for the money it's a very good phone and certainly value for money

It didn't take long to set up with Samsung Switch

I've only been using it for normal every day things like calls, texts banking etc

I haven't checked out the camera yet as the weather has been awful and I'm not one for taking and comparing photos of flowers and things around the house with my other phone which is an A34 5G I got in December

I'll be able to check them both out on my Thailand trip at the end of this month

I've been toying with the idea of swapping to an esim but failing to see any real advantage apart from being able to use a micro SD card as well. With having the 256GB model I have no need for any more memory.

Maybe one day after I get back I'll think about writing a review but for now I'm well pleased with the phone

That's interesting to read @jonsie👍

In my view, Samsung Smart Switch is a brilliant app.

I must admit that eSIMs have never really interested me. Other community members have occasionally reported problems with them, so unless you need to have one, the phrase "...if it ain't broke, don't fix it..." comes to mind.

I would be keen to read a longer review if you can find the time to write one after your holiday. 😀
